7 Day Challenge

Mighty Matcha Super Healthy Green Tea

This week, fitness blogger James Davis is taking the 7 day Mighty Matcha challenge. The challenge involves kicking all other hot drinks and replacing them with Mighty Matcha green tea.

You can follow the challenge here at James' blog, Fitness Blogger UK

James was surprised initially with the sweet taste of Mighty Matcha:

Once cooled down a little I have a few sips, now to be honest I don't normally like green tea that much... I usually find it has quite a bitter taste. My taste buds are pleasantly surprised and the Matcha does have a subtle sweetness that I would not normally associate with green tea.

Mighty Matcha's Natural Goodness

Remember that just one cup of matcha contains 137x the antioxidants of regular green tea.  This is because matcha is made purely from the finest ground green tea leaves.  As a result, every cup delivers the goodness from the entire green tea leaf.  This gives Mighty Matcha an extremely high antioxidant rating.  To put the antioxidant rating in comparison to other superfoods:

Matcha vs Inferior Green Tea

James highlighted that Mighty Matcha works out to be approximately 66p per cup.  Whilst a box of 20 green tea bags would obviously be cheaper than Mighty Matcha, one cup of Mighty Matcha provides the same health benefits as 10 cups of regular green tea.

Taking this into account, Mighty Matcha offers an extremely convenient way to get 1 of your 5 a day and all of the associated health benefits of regularly drinking high quality green tea.

To me it does seem a bit expensive but I guess as always you pay for what you get and if one cup of matcha is equivalent to approx 10 cups of normal green tea then I guess its a bargin :)
