Aside from being delicious, Mighty Matcha is also very versatile. Our tasty green tea powder can be added to just about anything! Here are a selection of ideas:
The Mighty Matcha Latte
Ingredients
- 1g (1/4 teaspoon) matcha tea
- 200ml steamed frothy milk
- 50ml hot water
Directions
- Add 50ml of hot water to a latte glass or cup.
- Add 1g (1/4 tsp) of matcha green tea powderr and whisk vigorously until frothy
- Add 200ml of steamed frothy milk and stir
Variations
Prefer an iced latte? Use 200ml of cold milk rather than steamed and add in 4 ice cubes.
The Mighty Matcha Smoothie
Ingredients
- 2 bananas
- 1g (1/4 teaspoon) matcha tea
- 200ml milk
Directions
Add 2 bananas to a smoothie blender along with 200ml of milk and 1g of matcha green tea powder. Blend for 20 seconds. Serve and enjoy!
Mega Mighty Matcha Muffins!
Makes 18 muffinsIngredients
- 5g matcha tea
- 2 cups self raising flour (280g)
- 1/3 cup sugar (67g)
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 eggs
- 4 tbsp butter, melted
- 3/4 cup milk (175ml) milk
Method
- Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 7 (425F/210C)
- Sift the matcha green tea powder, flour, salt, sugar and baking powder into a large mixing bowl
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and add melted butter and then the milk.
- Stir the liquid mixture together with the sifted ingredients.
- Spoon the mixture into a muffin tray.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes.
