Matcha Green Tea

 

Matcha green tea is traditionally mixed with hot water and consumed as it is. However, you may be surprised to learn that you can make an endless amount of drinks and snacks using Matcha powder. With that being said, read on for some sweet treat suggestions using Matcha.

  • Matcha Green Tea Muffins – Who doesn’t love soft, warm and scrumptious muffins? We’ve got a great recipe for muffins on our website, and all you will need is butter, milk, eggs, baking powder, salt, sugar, self raising flour, and, of course, Matcha tea.
  • Matcha White Chocolate Brownies – Easy to make and really delicious! For this recipe you will need ½ cup of white chocolate chips, ½ cup of toasted almonds, ¼ tsp. of almond extract, ½ tsp. of vanilla, two eggs, six tbsp. of butter, 6 oz. of white chocolate, one cup of flour, and your Matcha powder. Begin by combining the white chocolate and butter in a bowl, and melt. After this, stir in the Matcha powder and eggs. Then add almond extract, vanilla, and flour. Finally, stir in white chocolate chips and almonds. Pour into a greased and floured baking dish and cook until lightly browned.
  • Matcha Truffles – Matcha truffles are really easy to make and they taste amazing. You will need 2 tbsp. of maple syrup, one cup of coconut butter, and 1 ½ tbsp. of Matcha green tea powder for the filling. You then need two tbsp. of almond milk and one cup of dark chocolate chips for the coating. Combine all ingredients for the filling in a food processor and then roll into bowls and but in the freezer to set. Then mix the chocolate and almond milk together and melt. After this, roll the balls into the melted chocolate, and then stick them into the fridge for a couple of hours.
